The Ocean’s Cry
This project aims to breathe new life into the Cleveland Botanical Gardens
This is a social media post that explores some of the statistics about how climate change is affecting our oceans and the fish within them. Using a poem that touches on themes of climate change and the pollution of the oceans, these illustrations are meant to emphasize the problems our oceans face today. The way each image is broken up into parts is meant to be used for a social media carousel, such as how Instagram is configured to show images.
The goal of The Oceans Cry was to create a free-flowing narrative that would entice the viewer to keep on scrolling. This was achieved this by adding a flow to the designs which made it easy to go from one image to the next. Blue and grey colors were used extensively to give off feelings of the deep ocean.
